Back in May I had the opportunity to talk to the co-founder of Starts with Arts, David Varela. I had been following David and Starts with Arts for a while before I had the chance to talk to him and I was really amazed of all the things David and Starts with Arts were doing for our community. Although they always try to do events and fundraisers involving kids and arts but during these COVID times they’ve had to adjust. When I talked to David back in May he was donating masks, gloves and other PPE to the Cancer Resource Center of the Desert. David and Starts with Arts have began fundraising for one of their biggest events, the Start with Arts 4th Annual Toy Drive!
