Today I had the opportunity to talk to an old friend who happens to be the bassist for a “local” band from San Diego called Tribal Seeds, my guest is Victor “Shamu” Navarro, I’ve known Shamu since we were really young kids … not kids but young adults, high school aged kids. Shamu has always had a passion for music and always wanted to have a career in music, for the most part he self taught himself to play most of the instruments he knows how to play. Shamu played in some local bands here and there but when Tribal Seeds found themselves without a bassist a friend suggested Shamu as a backup and the rest is history. He’s been part of the band for some 11 odd years now and he’s had the opportunity to travel the world and meet some of reggae’s biggest artists while playing for thousands of fans. Like for many of us the pandemic has put our lives on pause and musicians are one of the most affected since they need to have large groups together to play their music. Don’t forget to follow Shamu on Instagram and visit his Website to get some of his merch and if you want to see any updates on Tribal Seeds make sure you visit their Instagram and website. Huge thanks to my Anchor Sponsors Camilo Garcia, Jake, Dents on Border, Castillo Bookkeeping, Sergio’s Tacos and Hotdogs and David Gastelum.
