Today I had a chat with one of my returning guest, he is the newest president for the Brawley Elementary School Board and the Treasurer for the California Latino School Boards Association and my friend, Mr Gil Rebollar. Gil was recently appointed president of the Brawley Elementary School District Board of Trustees, he posted a picture of his fiancee and himself 10 ago and he talked about how much he’s changed. I’ve known Gil for about 4-5 years now and I’ve seen that changed, he’s really motivated to make Brawley and the Imperial Valley a better place for our families to live in. He’s been a huge part in getting new candidates run successful campaigns on this past elections, he hopes that by getting a more diverse group of individuals elected to public office it will help bring in new and fresh ideas and also help more people from the around the valley be represented and have a seat on the table when it comes to the decision making that impact our communities. Having Gil on the podcast is always fun and I am glad that he was able to make some time to talk to me this time around since he’s been extremely busy lately. We had originally programmed a 30 minute episode but at then of the day it turned out to be a 1.5 hour long episode.
